Australian Centre for Tropical Freshwater Research
The ACTFR is a research and consultancy Centre, established in 1987 to promote water research, technology and information transfer to industry and government agencies. Since its inception, the Centre has grown significantly and has expanded to fill a niche in tropical ecological research and consultancy, both within Australia and overseas. In conjunction with this growth, the ACTFR has shifted from being primarily a centre for water research, to one which now encompasses an interdisciplinary and holistic approach to a wide range of environmental projects.
