Tully event monitoring program

Timeline: Jan 2006 – Dec 2007

Sampling is taking place at subcatchment sites based on their land use. Primary land uses are sugarcane, bananas, beef grazing, forestry, natural forest and urban. The objectives of the project are to quantify nutrient, sediment and pesticide loss from the different land uses. Sampling is carried out during river flow events. Sampling is also carried out in flood plumes in the Great Barrier Reef Lagoon off the Tully and Murray Rivers.
